Reports and rumours making rounds online for the past few weeks states that
DB Records boss and Kokomaster
D’Banj has several unpaid debts and has been sued to court. Last year, there was a report that a technology company,
MindHub Technologies headed by
Henry Ojogho claimed he is owing the company N15 million.
According to MindHub, D’Banj, also through his company,
DKM Media Limited, obtained a loan of over N60 million from them in January 2013, and has not paid back the said sum despite signing an undertaking to do so.
His PR team reportedly debunked the rumours towards the end of last year but it looks like the allegations have resurfaced. According to
Encomium Weekly, D’Banj is so broke that he cannot pay his staff and some of them have quit their various jobs.
In an exclusive report by
NET NG, there are court summon notices pasted on D’Banj’s Lekki house gate (since December 17) for a court case that is supposed to be held on Monday, January 26. Amidst all these controversy, D’Banj has been silent is currently in Amsterdam while also planning a mega concert in Nigeria to mark his 10th anniversary in the music industry.
