Super Eagles and Fenerbahce striker, Emmanuel Emenike has declared that the
Group D fixture between Nigeria and one of the favorites for the mundial, Argentina will be as easy as ABC.
Both continental powerhouses trade tackles for the third
time in the last four tournaments at Estádio
José Pinheiro Borba in Porto Alegre on Wednesday, June 25.
“Each team goes to the World Cup based on its
own strength and of course every player needs to be appreciated.
“When it is viewed
from this perspective, you have to respect each team. Messi is a great player
of course but different a scenario plays itself out when you take to the field.
“The game against Argentina will be tough, everyone knows I am right,” Emenike
said.
On or before the next decade, the 26 year old is expected to
hang up his boots, and he has revealed that he would love to be a politician.
He told the Turkish
sports daily, “I’d like to take part
in the government of Nigeria. In yet another platform to serve my country than
I do.”
