In an unanticipated change in the sequence of events, a nurse in Lagos who was initially cleared is said to still have the virus. Confirmation from sources, who spoke in anonymity, revealed that the female nurse, referred to as “Nkechi,” had been under quarantine. This development will question the reliability of tests carried out
to detect the Ebola virus. As reported earlier by SaharaReporters, doctors monitoring “Nkechi” said she initially tested negative and had been cleared to leave the center. She then suddenly developed high temperatures, and fresh tests showed she still had the virus.
