The Beer Spa in Prague allows guests to have a dip in a bath filled with the all-natural ingredients used for beer brewing, including barley, hops and yeast, kept at a steady 37 degrees Celsius and continuously bubbling to 'promote dissolution of ingredients', releasing vitamins, carbohydrates and proteins, the company claims. During a 30-minute bar and bath session spa-goers can pour as much of the company's home-brewed Beer Bernard as they can consume from tub-side tap before continuing their relaxation session on a heated bed or with a 20-minute massage.
The £80 per person treatments are sold as a chance to 'treat your body from inside and outside' and leave visitors invigorated at the end - they also advise for the full benefit of the beer to be achieved users shouldn't shower for 12 hours after their visit.
'It is very old and unique spa therapy, where only natural materials are used,' the company says. 'The beer served in the Beer Spa is produced using a traditional technique from the best variety of Czech hops. The beer baths fit couples or singles and if the experience wasn't beer-soaked enough by the end, each visitor gets a bottle of Beer Bernard as a parting souvenir.
