BREAKING: Air Algerian Passenger Plane Disappears From Radar

An Algerian commercial jetliner passenger plane has reportedly disappeared from radar while flying from Burkina Faso after losing contact with air traffic controllers, Algeria's state-run news agency reported Thursday that Authorities lost contact with the Air Algerie aircraft about 50 minutes after it took off from
Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, while flying to the Algiers, according to the Algerian Press Service. The news service gave no extra details other than the flight number AH5017. 
It said the company initiated an "emergency plan" in the search for flight AH5017, which flies the four-hour passenger route four times a week.
A company source told AFP that the missing aircraft was a DC-9, which can seat up to some 135 passengers, chartered from a Portuguese firm. According to a source within Air Algerie, some 110 people are listed as being on board the flight.
