Former Police Boss, MD Abubakar Hands Over To New IG Of Police, Suleiman Abba

IGP MD Abubakar who has successfully piloted the affairs of the Police Force from the 25th January, 2012 when he was appointed to July 31, 2014, has completed 35 years of service and following the
appointment of IGP Suleiman Abba as the new Inspector-General of Police by President Jonathan,
the new IG has today, August 1, at the force headquarters Abuja formally taken over from former Police boss.

The new IGP who hails from Gwaram Local Government Area of Jigawa State holds degrees in History and Law and has attended several management and security courses within and outside Nigeria. He is an alumnus of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos.
