The shooting is set to go ahead despite a Constitutional Court agreeing to hear a legal challenge. Indonesia has made final preparations for the executions of the Bali 9 drug peddlers on death row as the grieving families stormed Nusakambangan prison island (death island) yesterday. The families of the two Australians,
Andrew Chan and
Myuran Sukumaran, arrived to pay their last visits. They will have to say their final goodbyes after leaving the island.
The men will then spend the remaining hours to midnight with their spiritual counsellors before facing an Indonesian firing squad early Wednesday. After the family arrived at the port, an ambulance arrived at the ferry terminal with nine coffins on board. Crosses inscribed with names of the condemned men which includes 4 Nigerians were also put on display.
