Patoranking & The Mavins Win Big As Lagos Comes Alive For BEN TV Awards 2014 [Full List Of Winners]

Thirty awards were handed out to entertainers and sportsmen at the maiden edition of the BEN TV Awards 2014 which was held at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014. Leading the winners was Patoranking who won three awards. Don Jazzy and the Mavin Records group also won ‘Best Group’ and ‘Best Single’ for the song ‘Dorobucci’. Tiwa also won ‘Best Female Artist’, while Don Jazzy won the ‘Best Music Producer’. There were Recognition Awards for the Ogun and Delta State governments while late Green Eagles star, Best Ogedengbe, Kenny Ogungbe, Dayo Adeneye and DJ Jimmy Jatt were also honoured.

Speaking at the event, Don Jazzy disclosed that BEN TV was the very first channel that gave him and his former partner, D’banj, a platform to showcase their talents back in the UK. “I have a special place for BEN TV in my heart and I promise to support them in whatever they are doing in or outside the country,’’ he said.

The event was organised by BEN Television UK founded by Nigeria’s Alistair Soyode and hosted by Comedian AY. There was performances from upcoming stars, Lynxxx and Moelogo.
