There was a media backlash following the inclusion of the most wanted man in Nigeria and Boko Haram's leader, Abubakar Shekau in the Time 100 Most Influential People 2015 list. Nigerians wondered if he would appear at the Gala which honours the influential 100, and they were disappointed when Shekau was no where to be seen and many took to twitter to mock him for being a coward.
