The 49th annual Academy
of Country Music (ACM) Awards took place on Sunday, April 6 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and
winners included the likes of Miranda
Lambert, Jason Aldean and newcomer Justin
Moore.
The ceremony was hosted by Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan
and aired on CBS. The two also performed during the show, with Shelton taking
the stage with his "The Voice" co-star Shakira to perform the song "Medicine" off of her
newly-released album.
Lambert, Shelton's wife, took home several major awards as
well, including Female Vocalist of the Year and a joint award with singer Keith
Urban. The two, who joined many of the biggest names in country music on the
red carpet, won the award for Vocal Event of the Year for the duet "We
Were Us."
