"I'll See You In Hell" - Man With Implanted Horns And '666' Tattoo Sentenced

A man sporting two rows of horns implanted into his forehead and a '666' tattoo has been convicted of murdering three men and chopping up their bodies today. Caius Veiovis screamed at the Springfield jury that convicted him Friday, saying: 'I'll see you all in hell every f****** one of you. I'll see you all in hell.' They had considered his case for the past week in Massachusetts. Veiovis also was convicted of three counts of kidnapping and three counts of intimidation of a witness in the killings of David Glasser, Edward Frampton and Robert Chadwell.  Their remains were buried on private property in Becket.

Polish Airplane Carrying 259 People Forced To Make Emergency Landing

A Boeing 787 Dreamliner operated by LOT Polish Airlines was forced to make an emergency landing at Glasgow Airport on Friday morning after an onboard fire alert system was activated. The plane was en route to Warsaw from Chicago when the flight crew received a warning from the fire-fighting system in the luggage hold, said LOT spokeswoman Barbara Pijanowska-Kuras. It is not known what triggered the warning system and there were no reports of fire or smoke within the Dreamliner, a model that has been grounded in the past over safety fears.

N600 Million Money Laundering: Judge Acquits Lagos Speaker

Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Federal High Court, Lagos, has discharged and acquitted Adeyemi Ikuforiji, the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, from money laundering charges, Premium Times reports. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had accused Mr. Ikuforiji and Oyebode Atoyebi, his aide, of laundering about N600 million. In his ruling, the judge described the trial as “anachronistic” and should not have been allowed to continue. “This proceeding should have been treated as an aborted trial and the charges should have been withdrawn,” he added. There was a loud scream by Mr. Ikuforiji’s supporters in the courtroom as the judge ended his ruling.

Surrendered Boko Haram Insurgents Set To Undergo Rehabilitation

The Boko Haram insurgents who had surrendered to the military authorities would be rehabilitated before being reintegrated into the society, the federal government says. Mike Omeri, the Coordinator of the National Information Centre (NIC) and Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) said this at a briefing yesterday in Abuja. He explained that the rehabilitation strategy, as contained in the counter-terrorism document launched by the government, would be strictly followed in handling the surrendered insurgents.

Vanguard reports that the Police in Akwa Ibom have arrested Miss Patience Aaron of Afaha Abia village, Nsit Ibom Local Government Area, for allegedly burying her day-old baby alive. Briefing newsmen in Uyo, the Commissioner of Police, Gabriel Achong, said the baby, who was buried in a shallow grave, was rescued alive about seven hours later. He said the woman had been seriously ill since she was arrested and was receiving treatment. He also said that more than six children who were victims of child theft had been recovered.

Boko Haram: Islamist Militants Kill 20 In Shaffa, Borno

According to a report on SaharaReporters, Islamist insurgents belonging to Boko Haram yesterday attacked Shaffa town in Borno State, killing at least 20 people. In a telephone call to correspondent moments ago, a pastor of a Christian church disclosed that the insurgents stormed Shaffa in several sports utility vehicles as well as motorcycles. “They opened fire on villagers and set churches and homes on fire,” said Pastor, Emmanuel Wida. Asamoah Gyan Denies Ritual Sacrifice Of Ghana Rapper Castro

Ghana captain, Asamoah Gyan says claims that he killed his friend and Ghanaian rapper, Castro as part of a ritual sacrifice are "wild and absurd". Afrobeats artist Castro, whose real name is Theophilus Tagoe, went missing, along with friend Janet Bandu, in July.
