According to an eye witness, students from respective tribes wore different traditional attires to showcase their culture. Former Egyptian President, Mohammed Morsi Sentenced To Death

An Egyptian court has pronounced death sentences on ousted president, Mohammed Morsi and more than 100 other people over a mass prison break in 2011. Morsi is already serving a 20-year prison term for ordering the arrest and torture of protesters while in power. Egypt's religious authorities will now have to give their opinion before the sentence can be carried out. Morsi's supporters from his Muslim Brotherhood movement have described the charges against him as "farcical".

28 Children Reportedly Dies Of Lead Poisoning In Niger State

The Minister of State for Health, Fidelis Nwankwo, has told newsmen in Abuja that at least 28 children have died from lead poisoning in Niger State and that all the deceased are children below age five and comprise 17 females and 11 males. He also stated that a total of 420 cases were recorded in Zamfara and Niger states, respectively. According to Daily Times, this latest occurrence has brought the death toll from lead poisoning in the country to 191, including 139 children.

30-Year Old Female Nigerian Student Sentenced To Death By Malaysian High Court

The Malaysian High Court on Thursday, sent a 30-year old Female Nigerian student, Mary George Unazi to the gallows after she was found guilty of trafficking 765.9gm of metamphetamine at the KL International Airport (KLIA) four years ago. Judge Datuk Ghazali Cha made the decision after finding that the prosecution had managed to prove its case against Mary beyond a reasonable doubt.
