This morning, my team member, Oluwatobi Soyombo and I sat in the office, and discharged our final responsibility to the Buhari Campaign Organisation – we changed the bio of the Muhammadu Buhari account across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and everywhere else to ‘President of Nigeria’. I asked Tobi for the privilege to do this myself, with my own hands. Then, as he looked at me, shocked, the tears began to follow.

Remains of veteran actor, Peter Bunor who died earlier this month following protracted illness will be laid to rest today at his home-town, Ogwash-Uku in Delta State. Rivers State Governor, Wike Reinstates Sacked Lecturers & Appoints Chief Judge

Newly sworn-in Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has announced the appointment of Justice Daisy Okocha as the Chief Judge of the state. He made the appointment in his inaugural speech immediately after being sworn-in by the Chief Judge of Bayelsa state, Justice Kate Abiri.

He also directed that all the state owned courts which has been under lock be opened with immediate effect. The new governor further announced the reinstatement of some Lecturers of the Rivers state University of Science and Technology who were relieved by the Amaechi-led administration.

The University of Oxford is to appoint its first female vice-chancellor since its records began nearly 800 years ago, after Prof Louise Richardson was nominated for the university’s most senior office.
Richardson, currently the principal and vice-chancellor of St Andrews University, is an expert on the growth of terrorist movements. She held a succession of high-profile positions at Harvard until she was appointed to lead St Andrews in 2009. Students and staff hailed the nomination as a momentous event in Oxford’s history. Richardson, 56, told the Guardian she hoped her nomination would inspire current and potential female undergraduates.

A Mexican man has been jailed for 241 years for keeping his lover and two teenage girls captive for five years, and committing a horrifying string of crimes against them. Dubbed ‘Mexico's Fritzl’, Jorge Iniestra Salas repeatedly raped the girls, beginning when they were just 12 and 14 years old. The 36-year-old, fathered five children with one of the girls. Former Youth Corper To Honour President Jonathan By Making Sculpture Of Him

An ex corps member, is honouring the out-going President Goodluck Jonathan by creating a sculpture of him. According to online news sources, the individual’s name is Ezemagu Sunday Nnamdi, and he was one of the people who helped raise funds for the president’s nomination form which cost N2 million.
