On Sunday morning,
Sir Elton John and
David Furnish were officially married, exactly nine years after they entered into a civil partnership. They tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in front of family, friends, numerous celebrities and of course, their sons
Zachary, three and Elijah, 23 months. And the couple were so eager for the whole world to share in their happiness they posted pictures to their Instagram pages throughout the ceremony alongside the hashtag #sharethelove.
They entered a civil partnership on December 21, 2005 and and picked the poignant date to officially get wed on their ninth anniversary. Same sex marriages became legal in England in March and to celebrate, Elton and David set about planning the lavish bash.
