Bauchi State Governor, Mallam Isa Yuguda, a senatorial candidate of the PDP who was defeated by the APC in the just concluded election, has reportedly sacked all his senior special assistants, special assistants and personal assistants numbering over 2000. The only aides he exempted from the mass purging are those he said were working directly under him. All the affected aides were sacked with immediate effect.
No reason was given for their sack but it is believed to have resulted from two issues, the first being that the governor was not happy with some of them for their inability to mobilise for him during the election.
The sack of the aides was confirmed in a statement by the Permanent Secretary of Political Affairs at the Government House, Hashimu Yakubu, on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government.
