Justin Beiber and Usher are being slapped with a hefty
lawsuit again for allegedly stealing their “Somebody to Love” collaboration
they recorded back in 2010. Kevin Copeland and Mareio Overton tried to sue the
duo back in 2014 for the same song, but a federal judge ruled the songs weren’t
similar.
Now a federal appeals court just ruled that Beiber and
Usher’s hook is “almost identical rhythm and strikingly similar melody.” The
case is now going back for a trial and Copeland and Overton are asking for $10
million in damages.
