Rick Ross was apprehended on June 24, and charged
with counts of kidnapping and assault. Cops arrived at the rapper’s residence
in the early morning and arrested him for an incident in which he
allegedly ‘pistol-whipped’ a man working on his home earlier this month.
The arrest reportedly went down ‘without
incident,’ according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson, Allan
Stevens. He added that the investigation “regarding an assault which occurred
at a residence on Highway 279,’ was initiated on June 7.Rick’s exact arrest charges include kidnapping,
aggravated battery and aggravated assault. His bodyguard was also arrested and
named as a suspect in the case. The pair allegedly got into a fight with the
man working on Rick’s home, which led to the rapper ‘pistol-whipping’ the
victim.This isn’t Rick’s first run-in with the law
either. It was just on June 10 that he was pulled over for tinted windows, and
subsequently arrested when cops smelled marijuana inside his car and began a
search. He was processed on a drug misdemeanor charge after this incident, but
the kidnapping/assault case certainly seems a bit more serious. Rick was
arrested for marijuana possession in 2008, 2011 and and 2013, as well.
