The Esama of Benin Kingdom, Sir Gabriel Igbinedion has just
shelled out $240,000 for a new Bentley Continental GT convertible 2013 series
for his wife, Lady Cherry Igbinedion as her birthday gift. Encomium Weekly exclusively
reports
Lady Cherry Igbinedion clocked 62 on Sunday, April 13, 2014,
and as a surprise, the Esama took his lovely wife on a journey to their London
home (the United Kingdom) and presented the wonderful ride to her as gift.
The luxury car is parked inside Igbinedion’s London home
where the family held a private party for their matriarch. The couple and few others in the family are
presently in the United States, according to a family source who confirmed the
acquisition of the Bentley Continental GT convertible under condition of
anonymity.
“Yes, it is true. Chief
bought the car for his wife as birthday gift.
Chief and his wife are currently in the United States, they are expected
to return to Nigeria in a week’s time.”
Before now, the businessman took delivery of a Rolls Royce
Phantom valued at £250,000 in 2011. It was the ride he brought to Prince Bisi
Olatilo’s 30th wedding anniversary in December 2011. He is said to have ordered
for the Rolls Royce Phantom which came in red colour for his 75th birthday
ceremony. He also boasts of other
wonderful cars in his garage in his home in Benin City, Edo State.
His marriage to Lady Cherry Igbinedion has been on for years
and they are both blessed with four children, the eldest being Omosede
Igbinedion who years back separated from her husband, Prince Alvan
Akenzua. Her siblings are Ivie, Amenze
and Orobosa.
