Last Friday, we reported it here of a woman who was stripped naked on the streets of Nairobi, Kenya by unknown men because she was “indecently dressed” has reportedly passed away. A post from a Facebook page called Strip Me Not Kenya being used as a medium to campaign for justice in the woman’s case. Read the official statement below, may her soul rest in peace:
“This is now a murder case. The poor victim has succumbed to the injuries following the attacks last night. May her soul Rest in Eternal Peace. Now, let us get her justice. She cannot fight this battle any more but we can. Let us get this murderer arrested!!!!!”
The post also contains the picture of one of the men who allegedly took part in stripping and physically assaulting the woman. The writer of the message claims that the man has been using an alias on social media, and boasting about being part of the gang of men that assaulted the woman.
Currently, there are no official reports confirming the death of the woman. We will bring you any updates as soon as they become available.
