Drake’s surprise new mixtape "If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late" didn't just break the internet, but also Spotify records. The music site revealed yesterday (Feb 17) that the Toronto-based rapper’s album was streamed more than 17.3 million times within the span of three days. This feat set the record for the most streams for an album in its debut week in the U.S. The new project also broke the record for most streams in a day for an album in the U.S. on Saturday (Feb. 14) with 6.8 million streams.
This isn’t the first time however, that the Young Money rapper has set a record with the most album streams in its debut week. His 2013 album, Nothing Was the Same scored the same accolade with 15.8 million streams the week it dropped.
