Seven people escaped death on Thursday after a four-storey building, which is under construction, collapsed on a church building in the Sabo, Yaba area of Lagos State.It was learnt that the building suddenly collapsed around 2.30pm while the seven men, who were working on the building,
were on break.A part of the building was said to have collapsed on a church, which was behind it.Our correspondent was told that nobody died or sustained injury in the incident.The General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Mr. Michael Akindele, confirmed the incident, adding that two other buildings were affected.He said, “It is a four-storey building which is under construction. It collapsed at about 2.30pm. Our men got there within 15 minutes of the incident. There is no casualty and nobody has been trapped.“About two other buildings, which surround the place, have been affected, and we are also working on that too.”
