Two months Princess Charlotte put on her royal christening gown on July 5 to officially become Princess Charlotte of Cambridge! In a lovely ceremony at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, England, Charlotte’s royal family, including Kate Middleton, Prince William and big brother Prince George, 1, came out for Charlotte’s big day, which was full of royal tradition! The ceremony, which was led by Queen Elizabeth II, was conducted by the head of the Church of England, the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Rev, Justin Welby. Charlotte wore a replica of the original satin and lace garment that was made for Queen Victoria‘s first child in 1841. Up until 2008, that garment was worn by every royal baby, but it became too fragile so the queen ordered for a copy to be made. George wore the same garment which Charlotte wore for the christening!
