Huhuonline.com gathered late Tuesday night that the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, is dead. He died at the age of 85 .
The circumstance that led to his demise are still sketchy at the time of this report,but, the news of the demise of the revered monarch, according
to sources in Osun State, has thrown the state, especially his town, into confusion and mourning.
At the time of this report, the state governor, Rauf Aregbesola, is said to have been briefed of the incident.
Oba Sijuade became the 50th traditional ruler or Ooni of Ife on 6 December, 1980, taking the regnal name Olubuse II.
His corronation was attended by the Emir of Kano, Oba of Benin, Amayanabo of Opobo and Olu of Warri, as well as by representatives of the Queen of England.
