A pregnant Nigerian woman has been slaughtered by a Ghana man who pretended to be helping her get to a hospital when she went into labour. The gory incident reportedly happened on Monday, July 13, 2015, in Yeji, Brong Ahafo Region. According to the Sun Newspaper, the heavily pregnant mother of four identified as Amina Usman, was murdered by her neighbour identified as Abdul, who had offered to give her assistance shortly after she entered labour and walking to the bus top to get a vehicle but instead of taking her to the hospital, Abdul drove her into a bush and proceeded to slaughter her with a cutlass, cutting open her womb and removing the baby.
He then proceeded to cut out some vital parts of her body like the breasts and private part, but luck ran out on him as a man identified as Tokosi, who was working on his farm nearby, saw the killer and rushed to the police to report his shock find. The police swooped to the scene and arrested the killer.
Narrating how the ugly murder happened, one of her relative, Umaru Ahmadu said: “Abdul is a Ghanaian, also living in Yeji, Amina thought he was offering to render a sincere help, so, she entered his car when he offered to take her to meet the father in-law at the bus station.
Ever since the incident happened, the family has been in deep grief. Amina had four children, all girls. The first one is Mariam, who is 10 years old, and the last one, Hazumi, is just two years old. But when pain forced Amina to deliver after her assailant had overpowered her, she delivered a baby boy.”
