The New GMD of NNPC , Dr Ibe Kachikwu seem to be communicating a language that is alien to sycophants in Nigeria, whom instead of praying for the GMD have been pulling millions of Naira to send congratulatory messages to the GMD via the various print media in the country.
In a signed statement by NNPC's group General Manager Public Affairs Division, Ohi Alegbe; He has asked his friends and well wishers to stop congratulating him on the papers, rather should concentrate their energy on praying, as this is a serious national issue, that does not require the frivolity of congratulatory adverts and the celebration they imply.
This is a welcome development for our nation and other appointees should borrow a leaf from this move by the new GMD. This could be one of the many ways to kick start our nation and move towards change. How many times do you see some one appointed in the UK or the USA and you have congratulatory messages all over the pages of the print media???
This appointment of Dr Ibe Kachikwu seems to be the right train for right track for the Right journey.
