Nigerian Students from various polytechnics and colleges of
Educations have taken to the streets in Lagos over the lingering strike
embarked upon by Academic Unions in polytechnics that has left the tertiary
institutions closed for more than 9 months.
Bemoaning their continued stay at home due to the strike
actions, the placard carrying students demanded that the federal government
should implement the 2009 ASUP agreement and end the HND/BSC dichotomy. The protest caused traffic gridlock on the Herbert Macaulay
road in Yaba area of Lagos…see photos from the protest below:
