Apparent Suicide: G.R.L Singer & X Factor Star, Simone Battle Dies At 25

Singer Simone Battle, who rose to fame on the US version of "X Factor" was found dead in her Los Angeles home, and according to TMZ, it appears to be a suicide. 25-year-old Battle was a singer in the girl group "GRL" which was the reboot of the Pussycat Dolls. She signed on with the group
after her run on "X Factor" where she was a finalist, making it into the top 17. The highlight of her acting career was a role in "We the Party," a 2012 film directed by Mario Van Peebles.

Simone's father said her body was found in the bedroom of her apartment in a West Hollywood neighbourhood. A cause of death is not yet known, according to Los Angeles County Coroner Lt. David Smith. An autopsy has been scheduled for the weekend, he said.

The G.R.L. Twitter account posted the above message: "Words cannot express the depth of our loss. Simone's incredible talent was only surpassed by the size of her heart."
