Enugu Notorious Armed Robbery Kingpin Killed By Police

The operatives of the Enugu State Police Command have killed a notorious armed robbery kingpin, identified as Onovo Paul Chima. A press release made available to The Leadership by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Ebere Amaraizu said the late dare devil robber has been in the wanted list of the command. Amaraizu disclosed that operatives of the Awkunanaw Division of the command gunned down the notorious armed robber and car snatching kingpin.

“The deceased met his waterloo on 16/12/14 at about 8pm when he and his gang members engaged the police after they snatched an ash coloured new model Passat car around Mount Street axis of Agbani Road, Enugu, and thereafter confronted the operatives of the Awkunanaw Division already on their trail at Agbani road axis.

“On sighting the operatives, the gang sporadically fired at the operatives and their vehicle and in the ensuing gun duel, one of them were gunned down while other members of the gang who are believed to have sustained various degrees of injuries escaped, abandoning the snatched car,” the police said.
