A Nigerian military court in Abuja has sentenced to death 54 Nigerian soldiers accused of "mutiny". It's been reported that they refused to take part in an offensive against the Islamist group Boko Haram in the north-east of the country. The verdict has been condemned by the soldiers' lawyer Femi Falana. Below is how BBC Africa reported it:
