Angel di Maria regrets joining Manchester United last summer, according to Spanish journalist Manuel Esteban Manolete. The correspondent, who works for the publication Marca, professed to have knowledge that di Maria might not have fully bought into Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal’s idea since his transfer in the summer of 2014. Speaking on Spanish television channel La Goleada, Manolete claimed that di Maria is unhappy with certain aspects of being with Manchester United.
Manolete’s claims were rejected by Antonio Valencia, who insisted that there is a positive mood at Manchester United.
"Angel, Rojo and Falcao are terrific: they’ve all settled quickly into the group and I think they’re all really enjoying life here said,” Valencia said, according to a report in the Daily Star. "We’ve got a top bunch of lads. We all get along really well – [the atmosphere] is great but it’s always been great here."
According to Valencia, Manchester United summer signings di Maria, Marcos Rojo and Radamel Falcao are fitting in well in the club. Despite a number of injury setbacks, Di Maria and Rojo, who joined the Red Devils on permanent deals, were hitting the ground running.
On the other hand, Falcao, who has struggled to find form in the Premier League, has been rumoured to have his deal cancelled before the window closes. But then again, Valencia thinks that the rumours did not affect the Colombian and revealed that the three have integrated well.
