Nigerian Hollywood actress,
Uzo Adubo, who plays
Suzanne 'Crazy Eyes' Warren in the hit show '
Orange Is The New Black' couldn't contain her emotions as she cried and picked up the Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series award at the
2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards. The 33-year-old actress looked overwhelmed as she heard her name called out and took to the stage with her mouth agape.
After receiving the statuette from actor
Bryan Cranston, Uzo gushed:
'Oh my god, I really, truly do not know what to say. I just want to say thank you so much to the Screen Actors Guild for this incredible honour.'
'I want to say a huge massive thanks to our cast, without whom this is not possible. I love you guys so desperately, so much. This is not done without you, any step of the way.'
And the excitement didn't end there as minutes later '
Orange Is The New Black' were announced as the winner of Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series beating out
The Big Bang Theory and
Modern Family.
The colourful cast could barely fit on the stage as
Lenny Kravitz handed the award over to Uzo once again. Congrats to her!
