A flashing flash mob paraded around central London in their
underwear in a protest over bank charges. The semi-naked gang stripped down to
their bras and briefs - giving morning commuters an eyeful.
The scantily clad protesters stunned passengers at Liverpool Street Station and were also
spotted in Angel, Farringdon and Kings Cross Square. More than 100 daring
campaigners turned out for the event - which luckily coincided with the warmest
day of the year so far.
The flashmob was organised as part of the TransferWise 'Nothing2Hide' campaign
which aims to raise awareness about hidden bank charges.
Taavet Hinrikus,
co-founder of TransferWise, said: “Banking needs to be shaken up - today we
kick off our campaign to stamp out hidden fees and make the world of
international money transfers a fairer place. "Raising awareness is an
essential step in arming consumers with all the information they need to make
informed choices about how to transfer their money abroad without getting
ripped-off.”
