Solange Knowles is on the cover of the August issue of Lucky Magazine, where she finally addressed, and quickly brushed off, her infamous elevator scuffle with Bey and Jay Z.
In the issue, Solange calls the incident simply "that thing." The "Losing You" performer, 28, goes on to briefly discuss the drama, before switching subjects.
"What's important is that my family and I are all good," she said. "What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that."
Said statement was famously released in May, after security footage leaked showing Solange attacking her brother-in-law Jay Z in the elevator of New York City's Standard Hotel.
"As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident," the statement at the time read. "But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."
While the family never disclosed what sparked the fight, a source tells Us Weekly it "was over something so small and stupid."
As tensions escalated, "Jay said something small to her along the lines of, 'You are out of line,'" the source added. "Solange was being a loudmouth and snapped at Jay trying to calm her down and get her out of there."
"Both Bey and Jay were trying to handle the situation," the source continued. "Solange has been that way before, and Jay and Bey just wanted to get her out of there and home before she really caused a ruckus."
