Back in 2011, the jihadist spent a short period of time in jail in the Netherlands after suspicion grew of his terrorist activities, but he was eventually freed due to lack of evidence.
Soon after, reports say that the man travelled to Syria and eventually aligned himself with the Islamic State, formerly known as ISIS.
Khalid K. was allegedly thought to have been killed back in June, but despite reports and rumours from the Syrian Army, his Twitter activities continued. Now, Kurdish fighters from the Peshmerga army have confirmed the man’s death.
