Joan Rivers' daughter, Melissa Rivers, has released an update about her mom's condition. After arriving in New York City to be by the comedienne's side on Thursday, Aug. 28, Melissa spoke out in a statement to Us Weekly via Mount Sinai Hospital rep Sid Dinsay. "I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support for my mother, "She is resting comfortably and is with our family. We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers."

One day before her health scare, Rivers performed at Laurie Beechman Theatre and dined at Amaranth Restaurant. "She seemed absolutely fine," a second source tells of the comedienne. "She was cracking jokes all night. She was in really good spirits."
