AITonline reports that Delta FC chairman, Amaju Pinnick has won the NFF election in Warri at the Golden Tulip Hotel after two rounds of elections. He garnered 25 votes during the first round while at the second round he had 32 votes which automatically makes him the new Chairman of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF). Seven people contested to be the NFF boss but Aminu Maiguri, whose time as NFF president has been controversial, has ruled himself out of the race.
In the election the first round of the election, Melvin Amaju Pinnick from Delta polled 25 votes, Taiwo Ogunjobi from Osun polled 9 votes, Dominic Iorfa from Benue State polled 6 votes. Amanze Uchegbulam, Imo had 4 votes . While Shehu Dikko from Kaduna and Mike Umeh Anambra had no vote.
