In recent times, there have been hiccups in the Nigerian entertainment sector over royalties, as every corporate bodies handling the affairs of music in the country are beginning to sit up as there has been total war on either artistes' royalties or taxation on any shows/concerts organized in the country. According to a report on NigerianFilms.com, The Performing Employee Association of Nigeria (PMAN), have pounced on rib cracking comedian Bovi after he brought American music heavyweights, Rapper, Ja’Rule and Ashanti to perform in his ‘Bovi Man on Fire’ show held in in Lagos last night.
The report states that PMAN have demanded N3 Million on taxation for the comedian’s international artistes and Bovi has fumed over this demand. He said that it was not right and could affect the growth of the industry.
What a pity for Bovi after paying heavily to bring them here...hope affected parties settle scores amicably.
