The legendary California poet/actor/rapper/activist, Tupac Shakur is yet again in the spotlight due to an unearthed letter, said to be written in the mid-nineties. His genius wasn't limited to his own rap career but in the art of integrating and bringing artists together, and the proof that lives in this letter to Tupac's friend Big Lock is no different.
Tupac revealed to Big Lock plans of a future super-group album called ONE NATION, including artists such as Greg Nice, Buckshot, Smif-N-Wessun, Outlawz, Scarface, E-40 and Outkast.
Questlove, the drummer from The Roots, confirmed the letter's authenticity and The Roots' (then-) potential plans to collaborate with Tupac. Also in the letter, 'Pac tells his friend about his latest album going "platinum," most likely referring to All Eyez On Me, the album that brought him to fame right before being a victim to fatal shots in September. Hopefully in his wishes, the super-group can reemerge, just so Tupac can look down on us and watch. Rest in paradise.
