Lagos Lawmakers Set To Honor Airport Cleaner Who Returned N12 Million To Owner

Josephine Agwu, a National Diploma holder works as a cleaner with one of the cleaning concessionaires at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport and was earning N7800 per month, made headlines few days ago when she returned a whooping N12 Million in hard currencies she found while cleaning the toilet at the airport and returned the bag containing the monies to the airport management.
This is the third time she would find money and return it to their owners. The first time Josephine picked a bag of money, it belonged to a Nigerian. In the 2nd case, it belonged to a white man who compensated her with a whole $50 which she rejected until her colleagues forced her to collect it. In this 3rd case, the owner of the monies did not even deem it fit to compensate her.

Some of the Lagos State lawmakers has suggested that she should be recommended for employment, and berated the Federal Government for refusing to honour her even though it was the 3rd time she would find money and return it to their owners.
