Rapper 50Cent has
sent up Angelina Jolie's evil queen
character Maleficent in a spoof
video 'premiered' during Thursday night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
'You've got a big, big, big film coming out soon,' Jimmy said. 'Yeah, I did a project. Man, I did a big one,' 50 laughed, adding: 'This one ain't going to no Redbox.'
The 80-second clip plays out like the official film trailer,
but with one exception: 50 is dressed up as the dark fairy in the aptly re-titled
MaleFiftyCent.
With the tagline, Get
witch or die tryin' - a play on the star's 2005 film Get Rich Or Die Tryin' - the voice-over announces that this is, 'The story you know. The villain you
don't.'
Sitting down with the talk show host for a chat, the
38-year-old - real name Curtis Jackson -
appeared completely earnest about the new acting role he had scored.
'You've got a big, big, big film coming out soon,' Jimmy said. 'Yeah, I did a project. Man, I did a big one,' 50 laughed, adding: 'This one ain't going to no Redbox.'
They then threw to the clip, which begins with Elle
Fanning's character, Aurora, calling out to the shadowy figure to reveal
himself.
'I know who you are.
Your shadow has been following me since I was small,' she says.
Emerging from the dark woods, the rapper - who is dressed in
a black coat with a huge brown fur collar and wearing the character's signature
black horned headpiece - chuckles menacingly before declaring: 'I've been shot nine times; I'm not afraid
of no little white girl!'
He then appears dressed in Jolie's black leather cape with
leaf-like collar detail as green glowing fireballs shoot out of his hands.
He continues to chuckle in a deep, throaty voice as he
announces: 'This s*** just got magical!'
The hilarious video quickly went viral, popping up all over
the internet, with fans applauding the actor's creativity.
