Ebony Life TV‘s Boss,
Mo Abudu was honoured as a Doctor of
Humane Letter, Honouris Causa, at
the 2014 Convocation Ceremony of Babcock
University at the Sports Stadium.
According to the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. J.A Kayode Makinde, the award is
to celebrate those who have inspired the young generation in diverse ways.
“Mo Abudu is a media
professional and we are proud of the great achievement in her career” he
said
while introducing the two dignitaries approved by the University council
to be conferred the honorary award. The university describes her as beauty,
courage, faith and inspiration, as well as the “Lady of the Moment”
“I am speechless and
honoured to be given this award. I am extremely happy to be associated with
this prestigious university.” she said responding to the honour.
She dedicated the degree to those who have believed in her
and have stood by her to make her worthy of celebration. Mo challenged the
graduating set to thing big ideas and dream big, “The time has come to act and
that time is now”
Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala was also awarded Doctor of Science in Global
Econmonic Developmeny, Honouris Causa.
