Destiny’ Child Star, Michelle
Williams appeared on Good Morning
America where she talked about her forthcoming album “Journey To Freedom” and premiered the highly anticipated video for
her infectious Beyonce and Kelly-assisted single ‘Say Yes’.
During her interview, Michelle revealed that the track is
inspired by a Nigerian hymn she heard and wanted
to pay tribute to, and that
she and the girls got to relive their D.C. days while filming the video by
laughing and gossiping between takes.
It was so much fun. It was like we were little kids again. I
have their back and they have mine. They have showed themselves to be loyal to
me time after time.
The video definitely reflects its African roots. Thanks to
the people of New Jersey, Michelle praise dances her way through a block party
filled with African-inspired choreography and a community vibe.
Then she meets
up with Destiny’s Children for a house party scene where they come together for
some fun dance moves, smiles and hugs.
Check it out below.
