"Messi Is From Jupiter & We Gave Too Much Respect To Argentina" - Read Stephen Keshi's Post Match Comments

Super Eagles Head Coach, Stephen Keshi, said yesterday that his wards deserved at least a point from Nigeria’s last Group F clash with Argentina but for the much respect accorded the South Americans in the first half. “My players gave too much respect to Argentina to warrant the kind of game they played. That was why we lost,” stressed the ex-international who has equaled Nigeria’s best performance at the
World Cup ever.
Speaking at the post match conference last night, Kesh gave kudos to Lionel Messi for his inspirational play for the Albeceleste.“That guy is from Jupiter, a different planet because of his bundle of skill. The other players were also good but Messi is simply something else,” stressed Keshi.
Despite the defeat to Argentina, the Super Eagles tactician said he was not bothered with the result of the other Group F match between Bosnia-Herzegovina and Iran. Bosnia won 3-1 to earn their first World Cup victory. “I was not bothered by what was going on between Iran and Bosnia. I was more concerned with my own match here in Porto Alegre,” said the former Togo and Mali gaffer.
He said he was looking forward to Nigeria’s second round game with France on Monday in Brasilia.
“France is a good team. We know that for us to progress beyond the second round, we just have to prepare very well for the match on Monday,” he noted.
Argentina secured top spot of the group and preserved their unblemished record at Brazil 2014 with a 3-2 win over Eagles. Braces for Lionel Messi and Ahmed Musa were the major highlights of the clash most fans had expected the roasting of the Eagles by wide margin.
