U.S First Lady, Michelle Obama Is All Smiles & Pretty On The Cover Of Essence August 2014 Issue

The U.S First Lady, Michelle Obama rocks a beautiful pastel blue dress with a floral detail brooch and her signature faux-bob facing a large window which gives light to her already glowing frame, and she looks absolutely stunning and pretty on the cover of the new edition of Essence Magazine

In the issue, Michelle shares her highly publicized passion for higher learning and goes deeper in a candid conversation with the Essence Editor-in-Chief – Vanessa K. Bush. According to the mag, Michelle believes a big part of the recipe for success has to do with nurturing resilience in our children.
“I know I tell my kids all the time that they shouldn’t shy away from difficult things, because that is the point at which you are really growing. It’s not just about grades or test scores. Today our kids may shy away from applying to college if they think they don’t have the right grade or test score. But the truth is that the kids who succeed and go on to be successful professionals are the ones who know how to work hard”.
And she believes that in order for them to get that far they have to see education as an opportunity and take advantage of it.
