President Jonathan Approves N1Billion Establishment Of Federal Polytechnic Of Oil & Gas In Bonny

President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the establishment of a Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas in Bonny, Rivers state with a take-off grant of N1Billion [One Billion Naira] for the polytechnic to commence academic activities.
The President also approved the appointment of Professor Elijah Tamuno Iyagba as Rector, while
Willabo Gilbert is to serve as Registrar. The President further approved the appointment of Akpomeyoma Gabriel as bursar and Ata John Woke Ajala as polytechnic librarian.    
Supervising minister of education, Nyesom Wike described the establishment of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas in bonny, as a practical expression of president Jonathan's commitment to improving access to tertiary education, create employment and empower the youths with the necessary skills to contribute to national development.
